Well I love to tinker. 8) Well today I picked up a ROHM M-66 22 mag pistol today for $49 out the door. It is a functioning piece but a little beat up. Figure I'll clean it up and maybe make some wood grips for it (maybe even aluminum ) then make it a gift to my Uncle. He is always saying how he wants my Super Single Six. Killed two birds with one stone. Gives me some thing to tinker with and makes my uncle happy.
Oh and I put a 44mag on layaway while I was at it. It is made by the same company. Not high grade or anything but it is also functional. I am paying $99 for it. Good deal? Figure I'll make it into a 2 incher and use it as a under seat gun. Run 44 special thru it and the occasional 44mag.

He's like a bloodhound/sniffer dog. I wonder if he feels a tremor in the force when in proximity to killer deals?
I've searched high n' low for a reference to a ROHM .44 mag to no avail... it's gotta be way old, be very careful when you first use it!

Except for the grips I am done with the clean up and fixin on the 22 mag M66 ROHM. I added an ejector tube, cleaned it, tightened the barrel, fixed the loading gate, and reblued the barrel. The grip is some kind of pot metal and would not take a blue so I just touched it up with BC Blue pen. Not a super resistant finish but it worked. I did go thru and loctite everything! The trigger had what looked like old hardened grease inside. After removing that it is super crisp and breaks in the 3 pound range! Cyl locks up like a vault. Not a bad little gun for $50. I am almost tempted to keep it...

Man I never understood why Obi Won never refered to luke as his Padwan learner in #4. Almost makes you think George just made the term up for #1. Please correct me if I am mistaken.
Sure glad I did not make it a gift for you Stevil my friend! But then again it is probably banned in California like most guns
